Surprise, surprise!

If you read my Lalaland blog, then you will know that my darling husband is finally retiring at the end of this year. This means that within the next 12 months we will make the permanent move to our little cottage in France, with just a little flat or 2up 2down house in this country as a base for when we come to visit the children.

The biggest upset will be parting with all the masses and masses of antique and vintage treasures I have accumulated in our quite large Victorian home here in England. I hate the thought of it, but needs must. There just isn't enough room in the cottage ( filled that already ) or a small flat to accomodate everything I have stashed away. So, over the next few months I will be listing some of my antique French linens, fabrics and clothing, lots and lots of vintage fabrics collected over nearly 40 years, and tons of pretty bits and pieces. I do so hope that they will find loving new homes, sigh.

What an exciting move, and decluttering can be very theraputic, though it does sounds as if it'll be on a massive scale! I'll look forward to seeing what you list.

Oh, how exciting! I cannot believe that I just happened upon a blog that my bloggy friend "Lace hearts" is commenting, LOL! I'll have to stop by and say hello to her.

Anyway, the move to the cottage in France sounds so very exciting. I do love antique linens so I'll be looking forward to your listings. I do hope you ship to the US??? If not I will have to just deal with it. :) Good luck with the move!

Sounds good to me that you will be selling some lovely items. I will have to take a look as I love vintage linens.
